We all often find ourselves stressed and almost at the point of depression. The routine of having to wake up, find food and other material things and then back to sleep, is bound to cause boredom. Moreover, soon than later, you would realize that the ultimate satisfaction is not in this routine.

The path to becoming a Dahn Yoga Instructor can be different for each individual. There are three basic classes which all Dahn Yoga members take as part of their training. This is why you need to meditate, to be able to find the true satisfaction. A satisfaction that would be lasting and be able to meet the needs not only of the individual, but also of the people around the individual.

Starting with the benefits to the individual, meditation has been shown to reduce the impact of stress or depression in life. The routine in life and the disappointments may come as a man being chased by an Ostrich. There is not a time when you would not be running away or chasing after a pressure source or project. With this kind of a lifestyle, you would not be able to keep the focus on why you belong to this world.

This is what meditation provides you with, the ability to refocus your energy to the most important things in life. We all have to always remember the purpose of life to be able to keep to on the right path. This is the only way of being able to keep the original path of man.

Besides these understanding of the cosmic world and our relationship to the higher being, there are some solid benefits that apply to our physical being. If you have always felt tired and unhappy, you may just need to have meditation. This also applies when you are always feeling anxious and frustrated. Deep breathing during

Meditating give one a chance to be able to assess self and find what truly would make one tick. Mediation enables the mind to be calmer and objective. It also provides the body with the ability to improve its bio-energy flow and therefore improve the overall health status.

Along with bio-energy flows that is balanced, is the ability to manage negative energy. This applies to both the mind and body. This is what transforms one from being anxious to peaceful. This should be felt throughout the day and not just during the meditation.

Every brain, like every computer, has an operating system through which it processes the programs it receives. If you have not been able to create your life as you really want, then perhaps you simply can’t run that program on your current brain operating system. To do so would be like trying to run a current computer program on a version of Windows from the 19 8 Os.

Your operating system is the system of beliefs and preconceptions through which you interact with the world. Sometimes these beliefs are very helpful to us if they help us understand the world by helping us process the data that we constantly receive through our senses.

But sometimes our brain operating system is programmed in a way that does not suit our intentions for our like. For example, let’s say you really would love to learn how to draw, hut you have a belief about yourself that says, “I am not talented.

What really matters is not why or how the problem is happening but your relationship to the problem. One thing is definitely true –you will never be able to hate your problem out of existence. What really matters is your attitude about it. To upgrade your attitude, you must first consider how your brain is operating in relationship to the problem.

Upgrading Your Brain Operating System

I see the brain as similar, in some ways, to a computer. Granted, the brain is far more complex and can be modified through self-directed intention, which is certainly not the case with computers. However, I think it is a useful analogy to think in terms of the brain possessing an operating system.

Consider, for example, two young men taking a graduate school entrance exam. Imagine they are taking the same exam and that both are equally prepared, but one person arrives at the classroom with sweaty palms and a racing heartbeat, while the other remains perfectly calm and relaxed. What really makes the difference here?

The distinction lies in the story that each of the students is telling himself. One student may be saying to him, “I will just do my best. Everything will be fine.” Meanwhile the other is saying, “I am terrible at standardized tests, and my whole future depends on this one test.”

In both cases, the story is the creation of the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain that analyzes and judges our environment. In the case of the stressed-out student, he is sending out a message that says, “Emergency! Sound the alarms!” The hypothalamus, sitting like a guard on top of the brain stem, hears the message and then relays it through hormonal and bioelectrical signals to the rest of the body. The sympathetic nervous system also known as the fight-or-flight response, is activated- diction is slowed, heartbeat is increased, and circulation is compromised, including in the brain.

New discoveries about the cell membrane have led Lipton and other scientists to reconsider the ancient Asian concept of ki, which was once rejected as irrational. As it turns out, the energy emitted by your brain, your brain waves, may be crucial to the overall health of your cells.

Cellular health is critically important for your physical health because cells are the building blocks of your body. If your cells are not healthy, your body is like a building made of weak, disintegrated bricks.

Remember that all disease begins at the cellular level. All cancers, for example, begin with one mutated cell. When organs malfunction, this also begins at the cellular level. And the integrity of the cells that make up the artery walls plays a big role in cardiovascular disease.

Fortunately, healing also happens at the cellular level. Your body has an amazing ability to heal and grow itself, which is what Brain Wave Vibration is all about. Through it, you can learn to communicate positive, healing energy to your body.

Brain Wave Vibration training helps synchronize your brain waves with the natural healing power contained within every cell of your body. You can start by making sure that the content of your thoughts is positive. Many studies have shown the important role of emotions and attitude in determining long-term health. Positive thinking patterns are clearly a precursor to good health. In addition, they help facilitate proper flow of ki through the body, leading to a vital, fully developed sense of health and well-being. Quantum physics has taught us that everything in the universe is ultimately energy, and Brain Wave Vibration will empower you to use your brain stem to emanate positive, supportive energy throughout your body and into your life.

Energy Management Is Life Management

Brain Wave Vibration is essentially a means of managing your energy, in much the same way that you manage your time or your finances. If you feel stressed out or burned out, you may think it is because you have too much to do. That may indeed be the case, but for most people, burnout comes from the inability to manage their energy, not from having too much to do.

Our current approaches to health care have done much to extend our life span, but our health span may not be so impressive. American men, for example, can expect to experience some kind of debilitating illness by the time they reach age sixty-seven, and women can expect to experience the same by age seventy-one (World Health Organization). Thus, you can expect to spend most of the last decade of your life in ill health.

I firmly believe that this is not the way it should be. A friend of mine, named Kwan-sik Min, is a good example of how I think we should live. Mr. Min, who served as a minister of education in Korea before his retirement, was the picture of good health to the day of his death at age eighty-nine.

In spite of his advanced years, he never gave up his active lifestyle, sustaining a full schedule of speaking engagements and leisurely sports activities.

Research has shown that the body and mind function according to ultra biorhythms, cycles in which the body moves from high-energy to low-energy states. At the low point of the cycle, which occurs every 90 to 120 minutes, your energy dips and your mind wanders (Schwartz). In response to this energy deficit, people usually reach for that extra cup of coffee, grab a sugary snack, or just suffer through the feeling of listless fatigue. This kind of habitual behavior in the long run only produces burnout and inefficient working habits. What people really need is an effective way to recharge their energy, rather than to push themselves artificially through the feeling of exhaustion and brain fog.

On top of this tendency, most people’s work is not balanced from the brain’s point of view. These days, most people find that their jobs require a great deal of processing from the prefrontal cortex, especially for left-brain functions, like logical, symbolic, and verbal processing.

I am sometimes frustrated by myself, especially when I failed to keep the promises I made to myself. The next day I thought, “I don’t keep my promise. I am not good enough.” That’s my life pattern. Also, I have a typical thinking patterns I don’t like. I repeat some negative thought over and over again in my mind. I tend to make up a story in my mind that someone will do something bad to me or I will be taken advantage of. I do those things not because I want it, but my brain does that without my intention. I just habitually follow those thoughts. The thoughts create emotions. Emotions create another habits.

I read Ilchi Lee’s message on There is always a new you. I really liked this message. When we first come into this world, we are like a clean blank page. As time goes by, we draw something on the paper. We write something on it. Sometimes we draw positive pictures, and sometimes negative ones. However, the paper itself is never good or bad. We have an countless, infinite number of blank sheets in our brain.

I am very impressed by this: There is always a new you. I can always erase the current drawings on the paper and draw a new one. The thing is we should make a deliberate choice and take relentless action. I really want to apply this into my life. I want to create a new me! That’s one of the biggest messages I learn from the Dahn Yoga Center.
