Dahn Yoga has recently announced a number of improvements for its Shim Sung workshops, which are multi-class explorations designed to help individuals relax and reflect on who they really are.
Think of a cup, one that gets plenty of use. You almost certainly have one like this, say a coffee mug or an old, chipped glass. When the cup was new, you almost certainly valued it for exactly what it was – a cup, shiny and inviting, something you were a little proud of and probably looked forward to using.
Over time, the cup is put years of good use, and becomes scratched, scoured out, chipped, cracked and well-loved. Because it is ultimately valued for what it is used for – holding liquid – rather than what it is, the cup starts to be identified with its contents. Its true identify gets lost or forgotten.
Your own being is quite similar in this regard. As a younger person, you may have felt limitless and free, ready to live up to your fullest potential. As you age, though, life's natural burdens – marriage, family and employment, for instance – pile your self with additional mental and emotional baggage.
At a certain point, you may feel overwhelmed, believe that you have lost your true purpose or forget what you were originally intended for. That is where Shim Sung can help. Its holistic meditation and inner exploration classes can reopen your mind to its truest self.
